I had my first adventures with my new torch beadmaking kit this weekend. It was quite an experience. I had to buy mapp gas
seperately. The cashier paused when they saw me with a cylinder of mapp gas. I fired up the torch and attempted to make
a bead. It has been over a year since I took the beadmaking class and I was a little rusty. My first bead was not great
so I tried again. I started with a clear glass rod, but I was surprised to see that the glass turned brown. After all was
said and done I was very happy with my second bead. It is a one inch long cylinder, transparent brown with transparent green
and blue dots and swirls. I will post an image of this bead soon.
